Amin is a Ghanian entrepreneur who used his school fees to start Zaacoal Energy in Accra, Ghana, and built the largest charcoal factory in Ghana. Zaacoal uses waste from coconut vendors in the Greater Accra municipality to make charcoal briquettes. These vendors have a big challenge disposing of their waste, at it creates a huge problem for city authorities, who already have challenges managing household waste. Coconut waste is excellent for charcoal briquettes and provides a sustainable alternative to traditional wood charcoal. Watch this video to learn about Amin’s journey or visit Zaacoal at zaacoal.com
Very good and inspiring entrepreneur. Amazing how he moved from making charcoal on vegetable cans to a modern factory. Great work.
